Name: Seria Floria
Age: 18
Date of Birth: September 9
Birthplace: Eterna City, Sinnoh
Gender: Female
Sexual Orientation: Bi-curious
Trainer Class: Battler
Face Claim: Nexia from Sword Girls
Appearance:
Seria stands at about five feet and eight inches tall, and was born with dark brown hair, but currently has it dyed blonde due to some past experiences. Her figure is somewhat lithe though having a penchant for the great outdoors and exploration starting at a young age has given her a little bit of an extra edge somewhat physically - she's surprisingly toned in her legs from tons of walking, though more could be desired given her arms... Though one could also argue that her supple hands and arms do not befit her inclinations towards long walks in the woods or an ancient ruin. Covered by her usually modest and conservative clothing is a tattoo in the shape of a leaf that her mother gave to her as a reminder not to forget her roots as she explores the world.
Height: 5 ' 8 "
Personality: Seria is the kind of girl who tends to be lost in her thoughts more often than not; constantly in contemplation about her surroundings, constantly thinking about both the future and the past. She can sometimes come off as a bit of an airhead as a result, as most of the time she's constantly thinking of many things at once while doing a given task at hand, so she may occasionally pull off some ditzy moves which results in accidents. That is to say she isn't intentionally clumsy, she can really be a hard worker when she puts her mind to it. That problem is just allowing her to focus on Given Task A without her thinking about points B, C, and D all at once.
That said, she's a friendly person and generally approachable given her calm and seemingly kind demeanor, but it can be hard to talk to her still given her tendency to find herself daydreaming or lost in her thoughts for much too long. As for what she thinks about, well, it will be more clear come to her history, but she's often thinking about the history of Pokemon, and the connection of the legendary Pokemon with basically the world at large. Her exposure to the mythology and lore behind Pokemon as a collective, and the stories she heard as a child from her parents were a huge influence in her desiring to become a more independent person, to be able to learn and broaden her horizons as a free bird, for lack of a better term.
She is a sport about most things, she understands that her tendency to daydream too much is a fault of her's. Regardless, when you do manage to get her attention and her focus, Seria is a well-meaning, kind-hearted, good-natured person who is very loyal and trusting of friends. On the flipside, she doesn't take betrayal very well, and when she feels bad or troubled, doesn't often talk about it with most people, attempting to mask it behind a facade of wellness. In this case, she often takes to the comforts of nature and its tranquility.
With regards to Pokemon, Seria doesn't consider herself highly in terms of battling, but she strikes a well-rounded knowledge of Pokemon herself and likes to discuss theory on how to raise them or Pokemon diversity. However, underneath the seemingly average outlook on Pokemon and battling as a whole, Seria hides a raging desire to understand the unknown and mystic aspect of Pokemon, having held the desire to have a personal encounter with the rarest of the rarest, having taken to a form of empirical research so crazy you would consider Seria to be a crackpot wannabe scholar.
History: Born and raised in Eterna City, a place well known for its beautiful displays of nature (of course thanks to the great Eterna Forest), the Floria family were naturally inclined to the more scholarly pursuits, though they that didn't necessarily mean they were bad in Pokemon battles. They were simply just more interested in nature and the lay of the land, the history behind it, and of course the mythology that made up its composition. It probably didn't help matters that Eterna City itself held a great statue that spoke of the legend behind the two legendary Pokemon, Dialga and Palkia - harbingers of time and space. This formed the spark that led to Seria's parents beginning the hunt for information on Pokemon folklore - what exactly made Pokemon so special? Where did they come from? And why were Pokemon, Pokemon? These were curious questions Seria's parents sought to answer, and they believed the answer started from the very beginning.
Seria herself was born during a rather opportune time when her parents had already developed a wealth of information by using what money they had to travel to other regions to study Pokemon history, likening themselves somewhat as Pokemon historians. The young girl was soon sired to become a budding Pokemon historian like her parents. Her own interest was piqued upon being taken to the Celestic Ruins by her parents in an attempt to learn more about the legend of the three pixie Pokemon - Azelf, Mesprit and Uxie. Seria was enamored by the fresco which depicted the three Pokemon, and once her parents explained the story behind them - Pokemon that represented the virtues of valor, willpower and wisdom, Seria began to question the possibility of ever seeing those Pokemon.
Seria soon constantly badgered her parents throughout their travels and expeditions about wanting to be a trainer so she could meet these mythical Pokemon. But even though her parents knew the stories and history so well - even going so far as to keep a diary log to record their findings; they believed that it would be impossible for a regular person to have a chance in meeting them in a lifetime. Eventually, come a trip to Kalos to learn about the Pokemon of Life; Xerneas, Seria had befriended a young lady who would leave a lasting impression on her. Someone who would teach Seria to embolden herself, but at the same time to remain realistic about things. As, after all, Seria was only in Kalos to learn about Xerneas (and then about Yveltal, totally by accident) and soon she had to leave. The two young girls being so close had left a lasting impression on Seria's parents as well, such that they held no objections when Seria dyed her hair blonde (the same color of the hair of her friend) and opted to keep it that way, so that she would be reminded of her passion, her friendliness, and most of all her kindness and understanding to her plight.
Since that meeting, Seria had become a lot more lowkey about her hunger to go out into the world and discover a legendary for herself. But she remained patient, knowing that she had lots to learn and study beforehand before her parents would even give her a shot at coming out as her own explorer. But soon, when Seria came of age, her parents had finally realized that it would be impossible to keep Seria caged any longer. As a test, Seria's parents decided to send the inexperienced but hungry-for-knowledge Seria out to uncharted territory. She would be going to the Brava region, alone, in the hopes that she would figure out for herself the true workings of the world and perhaps get a healthy reality check. However, it seemed that Seria would have other plans in mind, taking full advantage of what is essentially a tough love routine.

Additional Info:
* Seria is a huge bookworm, which, while it rarely helps her during social outings and generally being able to interact with people, it has allowed her to think more analytically regarding battles, which can come as a surprise to people who may see her as something of a one-track mind or an airhead.
* Seria often goes for long walks to usually ridiculous places of nature in order to clear her mind when she is under heavy stress. Fortunately as somewhat of a good outdoorsman she rarely ever gets lost.
* In case it wasn't obvious, it's her dream to be able to see a legendary Pokemon face to face. Catch it? Naaah. She's not like that. Seeing one is a big deal enough for her. It's kind of like a bucket list type of thing.
