Pokemon Center

My Shot [Training] by Akira

Here, trainers can find areas and equipment that can be used for training their Pokemon. Space is limited, however, so only one Pokemon can be trained here at a time.

Lots of requests come in from around the region. Normally, they're the domain of the Pokemon Rangers or the local police, but occasionally some of them are posted as missions here. The board can be found at any Pokemon Center.

Brava Region Cities

No posts have been made on this board.
A weather observatory built onto the side of the Corona Mountains, it sits in and above low-hanging clouds. Expansion and growing needs of the researchers here has caused the observatory to expand enough to be called a small town. A network of pressure-controlled pods and enclosed walkways runs through its mountain location and even away from it into open air in a few areas. There are a few areas open to the air, but staying outside long is not recommended.

Lunch Before Departure. [Open] by Alona Callen
Mar 26, 2017 15:45:35 GMT -7
Known to most of the region as the Shining Light of the Future, Boole City is a technological paradise in the foothills of the Corona Mountains. Everything here is computer-run and state-of-the-art, from solar roads and automatic sidewalks to office buildings with their own warp tile networks. The Brava Region's resident Pokemon Lab is located here, as well as many more dedicated to technological advancement of all kinds. Branch offices and factories of many of the world's technological giants have also set up shop here, including Silph, Devon, and the Brava Region's own Geist Corporation.

The heart of entertainment in the Brava Region. Melies City has its own movie studio, Comstock Studios, as well as several sports teams, a theme park, and a thriving Pokemon battle and contest tournament industry. It has a thriving tourist industry too, and it seems like new hotels and attractions pop up daily. And it's not without reason: many a famous actor, musician, coordinator, or even world-class battler has come from Melies.

O'Malley's Fleet Fishing List by Satori
Feb 23, 2017 21:55:32 GMT -7
As the bastions of technology and entertainment grew in the north of the Brava Region, smaller coastal villages coalesced into a single united community, and eventually moved offshore. That is O'Malley's Fleet, an entire town of ships and barges floating off the coast of the region. Their mobility allows them a thriving fishing industry and trade not just with mainland Brava but also other nearby regions. Several lighthouses along the coast and offshore barrier islands are also owned by O'Malley's Fleet, protecting inbound ships from the treacherous waters off the coast. Although fishing here is usually done on a large-scale, those with fishing rods can still rent small boats to do some fishing of their own.

A small, rustic town in the shadow of the towering Fengari Ruins. An archaeological lab dedicated to studying the sprawling ruins is at the heart of the town, and makes up most of the town's business. While old foundations and stone structures are scattered throughout the town, the deepest reaches of the town, as well as the local Gym, are within the ruins proper, making Cernan Town a half-indoor, half-outdoor community.

Parabellum Town Spawn List by Satori
Feb 23, 2017 21:53:34 GMT -7
Several old battlefields from a century-old war dot the southeast of the Brava Region. Parabellum Town is at the heart of the largest of these, with a large graveyard and memorial from the war on its outskirts. Modernization has been slow here, as most of the buildings are historic and resistance to replacing them or expanding is strong. In addition, ghost Pokemon roam the streets freely here every night. Many believe that there's more than just Pokemon among them, and most of the residents have stories of meeting the ghosts of fallen soldiers or unfortunate civilians.

A small village on the rim of the massive Meall Canyon. It mostly serves as a tourist stop and the starting point for the many trails and tours into the canyon, but it is very much its own community as well. It is surrounded by dense forests on one side and the edge of the canyon on the other, meaning that the residents have had to get creative with expansion. Because of this, many of them live in treehouses, and a few local hotels have expanded underground, creating "bubble rooms" looking into the canyon that go for high rates.

Corona Factories Spawn List by Satori
Feb 23, 2017 21:58:54 GMT -7
A mining town south of Caelum Observatory, nestled in a valley in the Corona Mountains. Founded during the Brava Region's industrial revolution, it has supplied raw materials to the region since its inception and now fuels Boole City and Caelum Observatory's technological progress. Although it doesn't have the same rapid technological growth of the region's northern cities, Corona Town still has several old factories and steel mills still in operation.

The Brava Region

Southbound Start [Catch] by Pap
Mar 22, 2017 18:36:37 GMT -7
The first of the Brava Region's two primary routes, spanning most of the north of the region. It connects the base of Caelum Observatory, Boole City, and Melies city, as well as the ports where ships from O'Malley's Fleet frequently dock. It has seen frequent construction products from Boole City companies, turning the route into a high-tech road with many conveniences. Despite this, wild Pokemon are still very common, although most of them are of "artificial" or "mechanical" species. Electric Terrain can occasionally be found here.

The Southroad Spawn List by Satori
Feb 23, 2017 22:00:28 GMT -7
The second of the Brava Region's two primary routes, spanning much of the south of the region. This winding route connects the southern ports of O'Malley's Fleet with Parabellum Town, Cernan Town, and Meall Canyon Village, then continues around the rim of Meall Canyon to the base of Sunstone Peak and Corona Town. The Southroad is rough, winding, and mostly natural, owing to the dense forests, rough terrain, and historic nature of much of the area. In some places, it is little more than narrow dirt road and paths. A wide variety of Pokemon species can be found on this road, primarily those closely tied to nature. Rain is frequent here.

One Step at a Time [Catch] by Akira

Occupying the area between the Northroad and Southroad, in the foothills of the Corona Mountains. While not as developed as the Northroad, it is also not as rough or overgrown as the Southroad, and instead consists mostly of rolling hills and scattered woodlands. Most of the Pokemon here are easy to catch and train, giving the foothills a definite 'Route 1' feel. To the west, the terrain is harder to navigate, but several roads lead into the mountains to Corona Town and beyond.

Coastal Plains Spawn List by Satori
Feb 23, 2017 22:01:32 GMT -7
In contrast to the west of the region, most of the east is flat, open plains. The only hills here are to the south, where a series of small ridges mark the farthest line of the Parabellum Town battlefield. Closer to the center of plains, a few rivers running east from the Corona Mountains break up the plains. The Fengari Ruins loom to the west, and to the far east the harbors still used by O'Malley's Fleet separate the plains from the coastline. Most of the Pokemon of this area live in and around the rivers, although a few freely roam the plains.

Fengari Ruins Spawn List by Satori
Feb 23, 2017 22:02:08 GMT -7
A truly massive megastructure in the very center of the region. In geographical area alone the ruins span enough to have been a large city, they also extend both several levels up from ground level and deep underground. Although most of the ruins consist of interconnected structures and buildings, the very top level is one single building, known as the Moonlight Palace. Although the Moonlight Palace is inaccessible without special equipment or the move Strength, most of the rest of the ruins are explorable, both above and below ground. Wild Pokemon can be found all over the ruins, from cave dwellers in the cavern-like underground to psychic sentries still patrolling the halls.

Toes in the Water [open] by Enya Mahler

Depending on where you are, the coastline of the Brava Region can be either beautiful beaches or jagged cliffs. A similar picture can be seen off the coast itself, with several barrier islands lining the coast only a couple miles offshore, and numerous sandbars and rock outcroppings in between. Navigating the coastline by ship would be nearly impossible without the aid of lighthouses and light towers scattered through the coast and islands, but smaller boats and Pokemon have an easier time.

Meall Canyon Rim Spawn List by Satori
Feb 23, 2017 22:03:12 GMT -7
The area around the rim of Meall Canyon boasts the densest forests of the Brava Region. Navigation is difficult, but the best overlooks over the canyon can only be found by traveling through the forests. Wild Pokemon are also in abundance here, primarily forest-dwelling Grass and Bug types. Traveling alone is not recommended, but for those who want to get away from civilization and out into nature, there are few better places. Grassy Terrain is found in abundance here.

Meall Canyon Depths Spawn List by Satori
Feb 23, 2017 22:03:42 GMT -7
There is nothing quite like the depths of Meall Canyon anywhere else in the Brava Region. Like the rim above, it is heavily forested. But in addition, a river runs through the lowest point, with waterfalls running down the canyon walls all around. Because of this the depths of the canyon are almost always covered in mist. Combined with species of plant, animal, and Pokemon that can't be found anywhere else in the region, and the multicolored strata that give the walls of the canyon a painted appearance, the Meall Canyon Depths can feel like an entirely different world. A mystical world too, if the abundance of Fairy types is any indication. Misty Terrain is almost constant here. Rain is frequent as well.

Sunstone Peak Spawn List by Satori
Feb 23, 2017 22:04:11 GMT -7
At the southwestern end of the Corona Mountains is one mountain that seems different from the rest, known as Sunstone Peak. While the Corona range is steep and jagged, Sunstone Peak has broad, gently rising slopes and mostly smooth terrain. The black rock, crater at the summit, and lava tubes running below the surface mark it as a dormant volcano, although geologists aren't entirely sure how it came to be when none of the surrounding terrain matches its formation. Pokemon Professors and ancient natives to the Brava Region have their own explanation, though - that the mountain was formed by Pokemon. Indicative to this, a shrine to the Magma Pokemon Heatran can be found within the crater, while another shrine with sun imagery sits at the highest point on the rim. Relatedly, Harsh Sunlight is very common here.

Mining Rules by Pap
Feb 27, 2017 21:19:56 GMT -7
A desert area nestled high in the mountains, near Corona Town. Despite the elevation, it gets quite hot here during the day, and extremely cold at night. Hardy, desert-dwelling Pokemon make their home in this harsh environment. While it's not the stereotypical "sandy" desert, the sparse vegetation and high winds means that sandstorms are still common.

Frozen Cavern Spawn List by Satori
Feb 23, 2017 22:04:41 GMT -7
A cavern high in the Corona Mountains, notable for being frozen year-round. It sits in the north of the region, and is only accessible through Caelum Observatory. Staying long is not recommended, due to the high elevation and below freezing temperatures, but it is one of the only places in the region to find Ice type Pokemon.

Remote Areas

The Peaks Spawn List by Satori
Mar 4, 2017 15:04:57 GMT -7
The Corona Mountains are steep and difficult to navigate at higher elevations, but the highest points are all but inaccessible to most. Nonetheless, they can be reached from the air, and here one can find some of the strongest ice, flying, and even fighting types in the region. Normally, the HM move Fly is required to reach this area, but a helicopter shuttle from Caelum Observatory also comes up here. However, a trainer must also have at least two fully evolved Pokemon to access this area. Hail weather is common here.

Moonlight Palace Spawn List by Satori
Mar 4, 2017 15:05:48 GMT -7
Although officially a part of the Fengari Ruins (by way of being built on top of them), the Moonlight Palace is separate both physically and architecturally. The Moonlight Palace has far more open space, with crystalline walls and pillars and even some floating structures within. The ceiling appears chalky white during the day, but in the absence of sunlight is clear, giving anyone inside a beautiful view of the night sky. Despite the stone doors separating the palace from the rest of the ruins, it is not empty -- rather, very strong psychic, rock, and fairy Pokemon dwell here. Getting here requires either the HM move Strength or equivalent rock-moving gear to pry the great stone doors open. However, a trainer must also have at least two fully evolved Pokemon to access this area. Psychic Terrain is common here.

Ghost Ship Spawn List by Satori
Mar 4, 2017 15:08:26 GMT -7
As much a warning of the treacherous coastline as the lighthouses, this ship ran aground on a sandbar off the coast and has been left to rust ever since. The interior is mostly intact, but has not been completely picked clean by salvage operations, leaving some treasure left for hopeful explorers and looters. Very strong ghost, dark, and poison Pokemon now call the creaking corridors of the ship home, however, and ferociously guard the wreck. It is too far off the coast to swim too, but can be accessed either by boat or the HM move Surf. However, a trainer must also have at least two fully evolved Pokemon to access this area.

The Seafloor Spawn List by Satori
Mar 4, 2017 15:09:42 GMT -7
So long as one is careful of the rocky terrain around the coastal cliffs and islands, the sea floor around the Brava Coastline can be explored. There are several deep patches between the coast and the barrier islands, especially to the north, while the ocean floor quickly drops off beyond the islands. A sunken cruise ship, the remains of a collapsed light tower, and several pieces of equipment from a decommissioned port have all been deliberately sunk here, creating artifical reefs teeming with sea-dwelling Pokemon. The HM move Dive can be used to access these sunken structures, although good diving equipment will also suffice. However, a trainer must also have at least two fully evolved Pokemon to access this area.

Dragon's Lair Spawn List by Satori
Mar 4, 2017 15:11:06 GMT -7
Normally, an otherworldly environment like the Meall Canyon Depths would be the perfect place for Dragon Pokemon. However, the abundance of Fairy types has forced them up and away from the canyon floor. Instead, the strongest Dragon types of the Brava Region can be found here, a cave at the top of one of the many waterfalls pouring into the canyon. A number of scattered shrines to various legendary Dragon Pokemon can be found in these caves, suggesting that more than Pokemon inhabited them long ago. Fire and Ground types can also be found here in large numbers. The HM move Waterfall can be used to reach the cave, but it can also be accessed from above by rappelling down the canyon wall. However, a trainer must also have at least two fully evolved Pokemon to access this area.

Otherworld Grove Spawn List by Satori
Mar 4, 2017 15:12:01 GMT -7
At the north end of Meall Canyon, where the walls aren't as high or deep and the forests of the rim are indistinguishable from the forests of the depths, sits a thicket where trees, vines, and briars alike have all grown so densely together as to create a seemingly solid wall. The wall of overgrowth covers an area almost a mile in diameter, enclosing a grove isolated from the forest around it. Though the grass, bug, and normal type Pokemon here live in safety from the world outside, they have all grown very strong. The HM move Cut, or a particularly good machete, can get one into the grove if they find a large enough gap between tree trunks. However, a trainer must also have at least two fully evolved Pokemon to access this area. Grassy Terrain is almost constant here.

Caelum Annex Spawn List by Satori
Mar 4, 2017 15:12:54 GMT -7
Up the mountain from Caelum Observatory is a planned expansion of the complex. The annex is almost as large as the base observatory, but due to even harsher conditions, frequent equipment failures, and wild Pokemon attacks, the expansion was never finished and eventually abandoned. Since then it has been overrun by steel and electric type Pokemon, but it is still accessible to particularly adventurous or foolish explorers. Climbing gear is necessary to get in, although the HM move Rock Climb will also suffice. However, a trainer must also have at least two fully evolved Pokemon to access this area.
